The Partnership for Development Assistance in the Philippines (PDAP), represented by Fr. Francis B. Lucas and Mr. Gil T. Salazar, attended the Annual Stockholders’ Meeting of the Global Organic and Wellness Corporation (GlowCorp) on May 15, 2024 at the Hop-Inn Hotel, Tomas Morato in Quezon City wherein Fr. Lucas and Mr. Salazar, being nominees of PDAP, were re-elected to the seven-man Board of Directors of GlowCorp. In the Board meeting that followed, Fr. Lucas and Mr. Salazar were also re-elected as President and Corporate Secretary, respectively. This shows not just PDAP’s enduring presence in GlowCorp since its formation and incorporation in 2010 but most importantly, its continuous commitment to support and guide GlowCorp in fulfilling its mandates.
GlowCorp is a stock and for-profit corporation borne out of PDAP’s initiatives in the then CIDA-funded PRIME program to consolidate the products and serve as the marketing arm of organic rice and muscovado farmers. It is owned and controlled by cooperatives, non-profit organizations and PDAP. Over time, it carried other products such as coco-sugar, nuts, preserves and other natural products.
