LEARNING EXCHANGE ON SHELTER OPERATIONS

The PDAP Strength CTIP Program organized a five-day onsite “Learning Exchange on Shelter Operations” on March 27-31, 2023. Key representatives from the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking – Tahanan ng Inyong Pag-asa (IACAT-TIP) Center in Mandaluyong City, Hospicio de San Jose Sanctuary for Abused and Exploited Women and Children in Manila, People’s Recovery, Empowerment and Development Assistance (PREDA) Foundation Home for Girls in Olongapo City, as well as Katilingban sa Kalambuan (KKI), Org. Tanglaw Buhay Center and Akay Kalinga Center in Zamboanga City participated in the activity.

Recognizing the importance of responsive shelter services for victim-survivors of human trafficking, the partners visited each facility, presented their respective protection and reintegration services, and shared challenges in service provision and implementation. Potential collaboration areas and referral mechanisms between the partners were identified.

The activity was made possible by the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through Cooperative Agreement No. 72049219CA00011 between USAID and PDAP.
